In the summer of 2015 my partner Jordan had the inkling of an idea to start a jam making business (see origin story), and sell his wares at the Vancouver Farmers Markets. I knew he would need a brand design to establish his new business and so I got to work making sure his face was on every jar of jam and that his care, attention to detail, and love of jam would shine through the visual identity I created.
The logo was a no-brainer. Jordan decided to call his business Jordan’s Jam so I drew a simple line drawing of Jordan as the basis of the design. I repeated that aesthetic by hand painting images of fruit for the labels that go on the tops of the jars.
